Audi Ski World Cup Alta Badia

The best skier on the Gran Risa, music and fun

This year, the Alta Badia Ski World Cup greeted its guests with a wonderful white landscape, under beautiful skies of blue – the perfect conditions for both the exciting competitions on the Gran Risa, and the great aerobatic show performed by the Frecce Tricolori on Sunday, December 17th.

No surprise, but as always a superb race: on Sunday, 17th of December, the Men’s Giant Slalom was won, even this year, by an unbeatable Marcel Hirscher, at his fifth victory on a row on the Gran Risa! The day after, on Monday December 18th, the best athletes competed for an adrenalin-full GPS, where Scandinavia dominated. The winner was Matts Olsson from Sweden, followed by Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen. On the third place, Marcel Hirscher.

And from 2016, the new Südtirol Ski Trophy is awarded to the competitor with the most World Cup points from the four competitions in South Tyrol – this year, here too, a champion from the Nordic Countries – Kjetil Jansrud.

During the whole weekend, the Alta Badia valley celebrated along with a full programme full of fun, music and sports – locals and guests from all over the world were thrilled and amazed!
