Club 5 Board Re-elected in Varna (BUL)

The 28th annual meeting of Club 5 Ski Classics, the association of the 16 most venerable organizers of World Cup ski races, took place during the FIS Calendar Conference which is held from June 3rd to 6th in Varna, Bulgaria. 

The most important agenda item was the re-election of the board, which was confirmed unanimously by members. Therefore, Srecko Medven from Slovenia continues to be President for further three years. The organizer from Kranjiska Gora will be supported by his three Vice Presidents Stefania Demetz (Val Gardena/Gröden), Peter Fischer (Garmisch) and Peter Willen (Adelboden). Secretary of Club 5 Ski Classic continues to be Hannes Huter from Kitzbühel whose mandate is expiring next year.

In addition to the election of the board and the president, the AGM also discussed other issues including the future of the Ski World Cup, prize money currency risks and reports from Club 5 delegates in the various committees of the FIS.

The association Club 5 was founded in 1988. It represents the interests of the organizers of FIS Ski World Cup races. It includes the following members: Adelboden, Alta Badia, Åre, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Val Gardena/Gröden, Kitzbühel, Kranjska Gora, Kvitfjell, Lake Louise, Maribor, Schladming, St.Moritz, Val d’Isère, Wengen and Zagreb.
