For Immediate Release Winning Artist chosen to design 2019 Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup
After a call out to artists, we received a record 23 entries from across the globe.
And the 2019 winning artist is....
Meet Lukas Unterlercher from Austria. 19-year old Underlercher is not only an artist studying at the School of Object Design and Sculpture (HTL Bau und Design), he lives in Alps in the Tirol region of Austria and has grown up ski racing. For the past 5 years he has been studing the techniques of digital 3D modelling, artistic editing of different materials and graphic design. He is also a former alpine ski racer at a national level.
Unterlercher submitted 2 similar pieces of artwork which will both be used for the Men's and Women's Event posters and creative for 2019. They are titled "Perfect Line" and "Fastest Line."
"We knew our ski community had many creative artists within and we look forward to being able to showcase an artist on the international stage," states Robert Imbrogno, Chief Executive Officer, Winterstart Events Ltd.
Look for both of these winning pieces of artwork to be signed, framed and auctioned off during the 2019 Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup. Auctions will be held during the free public bib pick events on Saturdays November 1 and December 7 at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

About the Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup
The world's fastest skiers descend on Alberta at the end of November each year to compete at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup downhill and super-G races held during the Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup. Held in the heart of the majestic Rocky Mountains at Lake Louise Ski Resort, Canada's highest-profile alpine ski race features the first men's and women's speed events of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup season. First hosted in 1980, the Lake Louise World Cup event is the first outside Europe to be named to the prestigious Club 5, an organization that brings together the most famous and historic World Cup alpine race organizing committees. The event has become synonymous with the start of the ski season each winter. It also represents the only opportunity male and female Canadian alpine skiers have to win a World Cup on home snow.
