Great Downhill and Super-G races March 10th and 11th 25 years after the first World Cup in Kvitfjell

In Kvitfjell there has been a long winter with temperatures below zero for months and lots of snow.

For 25 years more than 60 speed races have been completed in Kvitfjell, and only two have been cancelled. Hard-working people on the course managed to bring forth a super course for an exciting Downhill in sunny conditions on Saturday. The crowd at the finish and along the slope supported their heroes with enthusiasm, bringing this season’s top Downhill racers Dressen, Feuz and Svindal on a tight podium. After a cold night, the Super-G course on Sunday again presented equal conditions for all the racers. The “King of Kvitfjell” Kjetil Jansrud was on top of the result list after the race, making him the most-winning racer in Kvitfjell ever. Jansrud also by this is the winner of the Super-G Bowl of this season. On the podium followed again the very stable speed racer Beat Feuz, and on third place Brice Roger from France with bib number 49!
