Club5 workshop held in Cavtat/Dubrovnik

During the traditional FIS spring meetings, Club 5 held its bi-annual workshop gathering its 17 members in Cavtat/Dubrovnik, with the aim of exchanging ideas and discussing important topics related to the organization of a World Cup event.


Crans-Montana : A men’s night slalom exhibition in 2020

Next winter, the women’s World Cup races in Crans-Montana, which include a Downhill (22 February) and an Alpine Combined (23.02), as well as two Ladies’ European Cup Downhills on 15 and 16 February, will be preceded by a rendez-vous with the men. On Wednesday 15 January 2020, between two Men’s World Cup races taking place in the Bernese Oberland, in Adelboden and Wengen, the Organisation Committee for the FIS Alpine Ski races in Crans-Montana will be organising two heats of a night slalom exhibition, in close collaboration with the CMA Ski Lift Company and Swiss-Ski.

Dominik Paris out of reach at Kvitfjell

Less than a month after clinching gold in Super-G at the recent FIS Worlds organized at Are, in Sweden, Italy’s Dominik Paris achieved another impressive performance at Kvitfjell, winning his second race within twenty-four hours beating by nearly half a second Norway’s favorite Kjetil Jansrud. It was his fifth season win on the World Cup tour – his fourteenth in total in his career.


Wonderful races in Crans-Montana despite timing problems

Almost 25,000 spectators were present for the Ladies’ World Cup Downhill and Combined in Crans-Montana on 23 and 24 February 2019. Despite a great success in sporting terms, the competitions were marred by issues with the Swiss Timing timing system that were totally beyond the control of the organisers.
