For the third consecutive year, Longines awarded the Longines Rising Ski Stars prize to the best young athletes (female under 21, male under 23) in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.

The Finals in Meribel marked the end of an era for the FIS men’s Alpine World Cup staff as Race Director for the World Cup’s Men’s Speed Events Helmuth Schmazl, 64, officially retired.

The ladies' and men’s AUDI FIS Ski World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is just around the corner and we are happy to announce that we are well prepared and have plenty of snow.

Strong gusts of wind, very mild temperatures for the GS on Saturday and a first very wet and snowy but later sunny Sunday: Weather played a major role in the 59th International Adelboden Ski Races on the famous Chuenisbärgli. Thanks to countless volunteers the athletes found excellent conditions on both race days. Throughout the whole event we can count on more than 3000 volunteers.

What a tight race today at the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Adelboden!

For the last 59 years, Adelboden has been proud to host this international ski event. The AUDI FIS Ski World Cup attracts over 40 000 ski fans here each year, transforming Adelboden into a popular hive of activity once again on 10 / 11 January 2015. It all kicks off on Friday 9 January at 4pm with the World Cup Show on Märitplatz.

The 2014 World Cup week under the Langkofel mountain had it all: high temperatures and lack of snowfalls already compromised the World Cup calendar in the Alps this season so far; the Val Gardena/Gröden OC was worried and had to put everything in motion to be able to stage the Downhill and Super-G races on the Saslong. Two perfect races put an end to an organizationally and athletically thrilling week: in Nyman and Jansrud Val Gardena/Gröden had two worthy winners; Dominik Paris, a local favorite, made it on the podium twice; and, last but not least, record audience numbers were set on both Friday and Saturday.

The ladies’ and men’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup Vip Snow Queen Trophy 2015 – Zagreb/Sljeme slalom finished successfuly .
