Club5 unites to strengthen Safety in Alpine Skiing

Luino, May 30th 2025 - World Cup Organisers and FIS Officials gather at Lago Maggiore to share expertise and drive progress

The members of Club5 Sport Association convened a two-day technical meeting by Lago Maggiore, focused on one of the sport’s most pressing issues: safety.

Hosted by SPM S.p.A., the meeting brought together the FIS race directors for both the men’s and women’s circuits and the slope professionals from various World Cup venues. The gathering served as a collaborative platform to exchange experiences, share know-how, and explore potential innovations to enhance safety standards in alpine ski racing.

The FIS race directors welcomed the initiative, expressing their appreciation for the organisers’ proactive approach and commitment to the collective advancement of the sport. A shared belief emerged among participants: improving safety must remain a top priority for all stakeholders involved.
