Ski World Cup - In a Musical Setting

The traditional Ski World Cup would like to extend its presence into the summer. For the first time, music ensembles from several Ski World Cup venues will get together to perform in Adelboden, on August 10th, 2013.

Musicians performing at the event will be from Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GER), Gardena-Gröden (ITA), Kitzbühel (AUT), Kranjska Gora (SLO), as well as from the Swiss World Cup stops St. Moritz, Lenzerheide, Wengen and, of course, Adelboden.

The groups will perform on several stages throughout the town of Adelboden starting at 2:00 pm and then will continue to bring a musical athmosphere to several hotels and restaurants in the evening.

The World Cup musicians are expected to represent their home regions with enthusiasm and pride and the Hofgarten Music band from Bavaria (GER) is setting an example by composing an Olympic march which will have its premiere in Adelboden.
