Hahnenkamm, the rollercoaster of emotions

Back in autumn, there was already no doubt in anyone’s mind that the 81st Hahnenkamm Races were going to be one of a kind. For the first time since their premiere in 1931, no spectators were permitted to attend, nor audiences allowed to line the route or wait at the finish line.

Eventually spared, Crans-Montana achieved their goal

Never has the organisation of the World Cup races represented such a challenge for Crans-Montana, which hosted the best female skiers in the world for two downhills and a Super-G in this most particular year. And the Classic did not falter. However ensuring that the races were held on the Valais Haut-Plateau required a lot of effort on all sides.

Decisions of the Autumn 2020 FIS Council Meeting

The FIS Council held its Autumn Meeting online and dealt with a full agenda. The primary agenda items comprised addressing the challenges faced as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic on organisational aspects, including providing financial contributions to the Organisers of the FIS World Cup events and World Championships.
